I seriously cannot say enough good about these two. Literally, from the moment Amanda and I first started chatting back and forth pre-covid, I knew her and I were just meant to be friends. Of course due to covid, everyones entire world got turned around and rescheduled. These two lovebirds waited patiently and we were finally able to get their engagement photos done. Amanda had two very small but particular requests for their engagement photos = pampas grass and boho feels.
Although pampas grass is evidently nearly impossible to find in Wilmington, I did know of this beautiful spot at Riverlights in Wilmington with beautiful “love grass”, (aka “happy grass” according to Matt lol), and it surely did not disappoint. This place is a dream.
Riverlights in only a 10 mile drive from Carolina Beach and only a 15 minute drive from Downtown Wilmington. If you haven’t check this place out yet… You’re missing out! Riverlights is a gorgeous community with local shopping stores and home to Smoke on the Water. If you stroll along the RIverlights Boardwalk, pay a visit to Smoke on the Water, located right in Marina Village. The large bar is ideal to grab a craft beer or cocktail with friends as the sunsets. The menu features refined favorites like the fried oyster po’boy and seafood steamer pots alongside creative concoctions like the shrimp and tastey corndogs. The view is equally scrumptious — wall-sized windows, a large deck and abundant outdoor seating overlooking the river allow more than one of your senses to be satisfied after your meal!
I’m so excited for these two as they embark on their next journey in life together. I can hardly wait until they get to say “I do!” to each other on the beach too…
