Full disclosure: I had never met Summer in person until the day prior to her and Kaelans wedding day, and literally met Kaelan in person ON wedding day. This is soooooo not like me — as I love to hang out with my couples prior to wedding day, even if that means just meeting for a good cup of coffee. 

These guys live in Florida and on top of Covid restrictions and rescheduling, us being able to meet before wedding weekend just never worked out. Although we were never able to physically meet until day of, I can confidently say that these guys felt like family way before then. Summer and Kaelan had their engagement photos done in Florida by a local photographer, so Summer wanted to do boudoir photoshoot as a gift for her soon-to-be husband! There was no better time for us to do these other than the day before they were to get married. Summer and I hung out in their cute little AirBnb and had such a great time. Summer is Lady Gaga’s number one fan, so she was indeed blasting in the house the entire time which was a party in itself! I never pictured meeting someone for the first time in such circumstances — with little clothing, last minute — you name it. But goodness gracious —
I cannot imagine it going any other way!

This was my very first time photographing at Market Hall in Raleigh, NC, and it surely did not disappoint. This venue is pretty fascinating to me due to the fact that they can have two separate weddings within their facility at one time! Say what!? Literally as Summer and Kaelan were enjoying their wedding day and getting married, a completely different couple was doing the same thing on the other side of Market Hall! You would never be able to even tell, Market Hall does a fantastic job at keeping the two spaces separate while providing the best service from all sides. 10/10 — would recommend!
also… special shout out to Ms. Becky for being SO easy to work with! One of best coordinators around.

I was honestly drooling over all of these beautiful details. All of the flowers in the wedding were artificial and WOODEN! The Lost Garden really outdid herself and is a freaking magician with some flowers. If I were to never feel or see these flowers up close in person, I would have been so fooled! They’re so realistic!!

also… can we just talk about this reception space transformation?! Market Hall does not play around y’all. So pretty!!

we made it outside right in time for some dreamy newly-wed portraits at sunset! Downtown Raleigh was popping and pretty busy, but we still managed to get some photos on the cobble stone outside of the venue. This was really important for Summer and Kaelan! These are some of my favorite photos from their wedding day. I’m obsessed.

In case anyone was wondering, Summer and Kaelan straight up JAMMED out to Cut It while cutting their wedding cake. Every single guest of theirs was jamming out with them too! It was hilarious and another highlight. 😂

An absolute dream! I’ve said it before, but I really really mean it when I say I would do this day over and over again. From start to finish, the Jacobs wedding day was all perfect. Summer and Kaelan felt like my lifelong friends and I’m so thankful that because they got married that we now are! I’m so thankful for their wedding day, for meeting them and that I had the chance to celebrate them with their friends and family. Thank you, Summer and Kaelan, from the bottom of my heart. And a huge congratulations again!! 🖤
